Our Programs
When problems arise, we’re here to help. During the pandemic, we’ve supplied gasoline to the island volunteer watch team and to the quarantine area’s generator, helping keep the island safe, and return Utilian’s home. We are a solution focused organization.

EDUCATION

We seek to improve the educational resources available on Utila, and to help ensure the youth of today is best positioned to be the leader’s of tomorrow. We are  currently partnered with existing schools on the island, and plan to assist in additional facilities in the future.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Our mission is to advance marine conservation efforts around Utila through providing the facilities and equipment for Honduran and foreign scientists and students to carry out important research and conservation efforts.

HEALTH & MEDICAL

Providing supplemental supplies and resources to the health clinics on Utila, We’ve been providing vitamins and medications, and are working towards securing additional medical equipment. Our immediate efforts are directed towards Covid-19 prevention and relief.

ANIMAL WELFARE

We’re excited to share that our partner Jasper’s Utila Animal Shelter is now their own 501c3 and can receive direct donations! We’re proud to have been able to support their mission. Support Utila will continue our overall program to the betterment of animal welfare on Utila, in addition to the work carried out by the shelter.

UTOPIA VILLAGE PROGRAM

Utopia Village’s mission is to improve the lives of the Utopia Village staff, their families and the communities that they live in on Utila. Our goal is to make an immediate difference, while helping to build long-term financial independence.

FOOD RELIEF

Utila’s economy depends on tourism, and many residents were financially affected by the pandemic’s negative impact on tourism. Now, post pandemic, this is a program we still carry out to help those in need, but is (happily!) one of our smaller programs.
