Utila is a vibrant Caribbean island off the coast of Honduras. Known for its laid-back charm, international community, and world-class scuba diving and snorkeling, the island remains a top destination in the region. Often called the “Whale Shark Capital of the Caribbean,” Utila attracts adventure-seeking travelers from around the world.

#SupportUtila started as a fundraiser by the ownership of Coral View Beach Resort Utila in response to COVID-19 and has evolved in Support Utila, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, continuing our mission of helping keep Utila safe as well as improving the island for all. Our board includes both US and Honduran citizens. Our programs address a wide range of areas for improvement as well as issues on the island.

Support Utila provides educational, community, food, medical, and animal support to the people and pets of Utila (Bay Islands, Honduras) through monetary and product donations. After playing a vital role during the pandemic, we now focus on expanding access to education and developing better resources to help create a stronger, healthier community for all.
